FAW Electronics has been acquired by one of the UK’s leading energy technology specialists, t-mac Technologies Ltd.
The acquisition is part of t-mac's continued development strategy, which includes a 40 per cent growth target over the next 12 months, and will enable the company to provide a one-stop-shop for its clients’ energy management needs.
Adding to t-mac’s proven capabilities in energy management software design, the acquisition enhances the company’s portfolio, with innovative design engineering and manufacturing capabilities.
“We aim to provide a seamless service for our clients” said Lisa Gingell, director, t-mac Technologies Ltd.
She continued: “We have worked with FAW Electronics since our launch to produce and deliver technical hardware products for our ever expanding client base, so this acquisition was the next logical step.
“By acquiring FAW Electronics we have reduced the final link in our production chain. Now our cutting-edge products, which we provide for businesses across the UK and worldwide, will be made from beginning to end by t-mac.
“FAW Electronics had expressed a wish to forge stronger links with t-mac which made this a natural move for us both. We have exciting plans for our newly formed fully functional business.”
The ‘original energy dashboard company’, t-mac’s continued growth in the market has been driven by an increased understanding of the necessity of energy management by the business world with the need to monitor, manage and control energy usage never greater.
In addition, the continued pressure from UK legislation on businesses meeting their carbon reduction targets means expertise like that offered by t-mac is in high demand.
Alan Wilkinson, managing director, FAW Electronics said: “This is a perfect partnership. FAW Electronics has worked with t-mac since its inception and watched it grow and flourish over the past seven years.
“Having worked on the design and architecture of many t-mac products we are pleased to be able to merge the processes under one established brand as it makes business sense for both t-mac’s customers and our own.”
Using wireless and web-based technology, t-mac is a leading provider of intelligent systems for remote, Internet monitoring and control of assets such as heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration as well as consumables such as water, air, gas and electricity.
Now with this new acquisition, the t-mac team boasts 32 professionals working together to provide energy management solutions for any business across the UK.
